Butterfly blues

Hey Crafters

I thought it was about time I put something else on my blog, I did this a couple of weeks ago at a friends house and I have recently made it into a card,  I have to say that I was really chuffed with this but my friend always somehow inspires me when Im around at hers, but the trouble is I cant sleep on the night because my head is full of ideas then.  Trouble is when I do finally get to sleep I wake up and then I forget all my ideas. (note to self must start writing stuff down).lol

Anyway I reckon every crafter needs a friend that inspires you  or even if you inspire each other, but if this friend is reading my blog then hopefully she knows who she is,  I just want to say a big thank you your a brilliant friend.

Happy crafting

Hey Crafters

I did this brayering about a week ago and decided that I would incorporate Lovely as a tree, im quite chuffed at how its turned out.

I will try and blog at the beginning of the week next week as will be busy starting a new job.  I was made redundant Monday and start my new job Tuesday so thats all good and move into new house all beening well on the 17th December, so lets hope there are no more surprises that are going to stand in our way.

Sparkly & Bright

Hey Crafters

Well Its been a while since I have blogged.  I've been busy with work and also getting mortgage offers and sorting solicitors out, all very exciting stuff, well it is for me and Ian anyway, and although I have done some crafting it never seems enough to keep the blog going for a week or so.  So, what I have decided to do is while I'm building up my business and also moving house I shall just do what I can and as a when and then when I'm settled in then I will try and do regular blogs, maybe weekly or daily not quite sure yet.

Anyway over the weekend I did manage to do some cards so I'm going a couple on here and hope you like....

I love the sparkly and bright I think its so versatile and with all the new colours too the possibilities are endless

I decorated with Rich Razzleberry ribbon and also the whisper white ribbon.......................................

Jot Pad

Hi Crafters

This is so simple I bought a load of jotter pads over the weekend, think I paid 90p for about 6 of them maybe more and just thought I would dress them up a bit and sell them at my ladies day.  I have used perfect plum designer paper to cover, and then stamped oscar the owl out and then just used 3d foam pad, it took me minutes, but very quick and easy if any of you do craft fairs.

Hope you like.

Fox and Friends 4x 4 card

Hi its been a couple of weeks since I have put anything on my blog, but what with stress with finding mortgages and also work I haven't had much time for crafting, so yesterday I had a half day and did some crafting, I had also had some new stuff as well that i wanted to try out.

I stamped on to whisper white with old olive ink and punched out with circle punch and then the scalloped punch, then mat an layered with perfect plum and so saffron. I matted and layered the main card with the perfect plum designer paper on to old olive.

Quite straight forward really and just embellished with old olive satin ribbon.  I also had a go at brayering but not sure whether i think its good or not,  I shall put it on here so you can tell me what you think.

Oh and for those that don't know we got a mortgage in the end.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Beer Mat Note Pads

Well its taken me a while but I have finally got my Bind it all and I'm sure this will be the first of many projects using this.  I've taken my two beer mats covered with perfect plum designer paper and then sanded round the sides to smooth any rough edges, I punched the beer mats using my bind it all of course, and then took my post it notes and did the same and then used my bind it all to bind it together.  (I love my Bind it all). Oh I almost forgot I then used my favourite stamping set Flight of the Butterfly and stamped onto perfect plum card and punch out with butterfly punch and stuck with glue dot on front of my beer mat.

I'm glad I had  my Bind it all today as really needed cheering up,  as some of you may know I went to Nottingham over the weekend and left my car at Ian's mums over the weekend only to find that this morning some little git (I'm being polite) had taken it on themselves to drill a hole in the passenger size of my car and pop the lock, I think they may of been looking for my sat nav, well they had no joy as it wasn't there, but its still annoying and it just freaks you out that someone you don't know as been through your belongings.  Anyway its done nothing I can do now.  Sorry for whinge but a blog is good therapy.

Its Beautiful Envelope Bag

Hey Crafters

I love this project couldn't believe it was done with an A5 envelope, thanks to peg I know how now.  Anyway, I have used the Its beautiful, on the large stamping around, and rolled it in a diagonal direction using the perfect plum ink.   I have then taken off the glued edge with the trimmer you can used a decorative punch if you want to, I then scored  1in around the 3 sides leaving the top,  this is where its hard to explain but where you have scored you push the sides  in and this brings the bottom to a triangle which I stick down with double sided sticky tap, it sounds confusing but really its easy I think its one of those that its easy to show somebody than actually trying and explain it, any problems please contact me on my email. http://www.bellamy.sky.com/. Almost forgot it was finished with Rich Razzleberry ribbon.

For the two people that follow me currently I shall be away in Nottingham this weekend so I'm afraid no blogging sorry.........

Happy crafting all

Another Flight of the Butterfly

This is another card I have done using the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set.  I have used Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive  to mat and layer and then used the double stamping technique and stamped onto whisper white twice and then again, and punched two with the butterfly punch to give some dimension to the overall card.  Hope that makes sense to you all, oh and I used glue dots to put the two butterflys together.

1930's card

Hello Crafters

This is a card I have done for my neighbour along with a matching bookmark and telephone pad, but as I have done the bookmark and telephone pad recently on my blog I didnt think you would want to see the same thing again.  So this is quite straight forward I have taken some whisper white and used the poka dot embossing folder and put it through my big shot and then matted and layered the 1930's lady up on a ruby red card.

This is one I did in a pink for my other neighbour, I  changed mind I decided to put the telephone pad on here after all hope you like it.

I need to start doing some more samples now I will be going back to using my stampin up stamps now.

Hope you like
Until tomorrow...........keep crafting

So Saffron

Hey Crafters

This started out as a 4x4 card but actually ended up as a 4x4 post it note holder, I recycled the butterflies out of a gift bag that I had been given and used my butterfly punch I even recycled the ribbon off the gift bag.

Oh and I used the polka dot embossing folder from the cuttlebug for the effect of the card.

Telephone pad

Hey Crafters...........

I have had a great day of crafting yesterday.  I'm desperately trying to use some of my scraps up and also make birthday cards for two of my neighbours.  I have done quite a bit so you will see some of these over the next few days but have to confess its not all stampin up stuff, some of things I have done have a definate 1930's feel.

Onto to todays blog though I used Green House Garden and the Real Red and Pumkin Pie ink pads to make it look like a poppy field, then the middle section was stamped with black stazon.  There has been a poppy field  close to where I live so I was kind of inspired by this, I actually made a 6 x 6 inch card out of this first and this is what was left over.  (I shall put the card on my blog tomorrow).

I matted in with black card and then folded in half then stuck some scraps of paper together and folded in half and there you have it.

Hope you like it any questions contact me on bellamy.m@sky.com

Post it Note keyring

Hey....Crafters

Im sorry to the few of you who are now following me that Im late with my blog but as well as working i've not been feeling so well so apologies.

This is a little post it note keyring which is quite cute I think.

Anyway, I have used Cottage Wall and then I recycled my Just for You tag from one of the Stampin up parties I have been to recently I think Peg used Melon Mambo and matted onto Choc chip (I may be wrong though).  I split the little post it notes, this is because its too thick to put through the Cropper Dile put a small jump ring through the hole and just dressed it up with Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo ribbon.

Hope you like

Until tomorrow

Live your Dream Card

Hey.... Crafters

This card was a simple but good mistake where I was just messing around with this stamp set to see what I could create and once I had matted and layered thought it made quite a good card, I think this would be good as some notelets too................

Anyway...... I have used Rich Razzleberry and Orchard Opulence inks with Rich Razzleberry designer paper.

Off to work now so until tomorrow

Flight of the Butterflies Bookmark

Hey.... Crafters

This is a bookmark stamped in Orchid Opulence and Rich Razzleberry.

I often wondered what I could do with the bit of card that is left after you have done a 6 x 6 card and I had thought about a bookmark but wasn't sure it looked right.  Sometimes its about having the the confidence in doing something and having seen a couple of Peggy's samples I thought I would give it ago.  Thanks Peg.  Im going to incorporate this idea maybe into a card/gift idea

see you tomorrow

I'm loving this Stampin up set as its so versatile I'm sure you will see more in the not to distance future.
